Default Guild Hall/Guild Questions

I want to know more about the Guild Halls and Guild Capes...

1. How much does a Guild Hall Cost?
2. Do all members in a guild automatically get the cape once made? If not, how much is it per person after you make it?
3. What is so special about the Guild Hall, what does it have that most other areas of the game don't have?
4. Is there anything else about Guilds I need to know that I don't know?

I have a Guild or at least am the second in command/second leader in my bf's guild he created, we didn't have enough for a cape yet, so we're going to save up for it. But I want to know more about the Guild Hall, that most intrigues me about GW, I mean what is so special about it? It sounds cool, and scary that Gwen can invade it... that little pyro...

I believe you get a Guild Hall when you get a cape. But I may be wrong since I've never actually madea guild. I'm just a member of a small little happy guild.

Yes, all members get capes when the guild leader pays 1,000 gold to create a guild. I wish we could have a choice of wearing the cape or not. What if your in an alpha guild that has the most hideous capes imagineable?

Well, in the Guild Hall you can socialize mainly and I think you can challenge other guilds there. But I just think it's for looks.

No, not really. I think you covered most of the important questions of Guild Halls.

Gwen is all mighty, she can teleport all over Tyria at will.

Thanks, I'll look into the Guild Halls later on more too.

Gwen is killer but I deviate from my point...

I was hoping the Guild Hall would have like... storage for each person or a bank or something... A guild bank to help the guild members and only the owners of the group can take money out if its put in by people, sort of a donation.. Hrm... that is a good idea... a guild could really help their new members with a donation bank thing like that, help them level up and stuff... Hmmm...

This is quoted from another thread forum (his name starts with an R... you know who you are, claim it and I'll make sure to copy your name this time)

From what I understand (I've gathered this from places around the forums)...

It's 100 gold to register your guild (get your forums and reserve the tag and name).
It's 1,000 gold to get the cape.
From there, you can hold out at the Hall of Heroes and get a Celestial Sigil... or you can purchase one for 1,815* gold at the Sigil Trader. With this Sigil you can purchase a Guild Hall.

* Note, I am unsure of the price, this is what I was told elsewhere in the forums.

At the start of the last BWE, I purchased a Sigil from some trader next to the guild registrar in Lions' Arch for about 200 gold.

Also, you cannot get a guild hall until you get a cape. The Ambassador at each island will tell you.

100 to create guild/register it.
1,000 to create/edit capes.
Sigil to buy hall.

They are working on storage on an account basis at the moment. I believe they have considered guild storage but do not recall anything official..

I've seen reference to "holding the Hall of Heros" several times in reference to getting the Sigil. I've never made to HoH so what does "holding the Hall of Heros" mean?

TIA

It basically means coming out on top in the Hall of Heroes: winning the final against all the other teams competing - and just staying there long enough.
The sigil supposedly spawns or drops every 12 minutes, so if you hold it long enough - someone in your party will probaply get to pick it up - or so I've heard.

I've got a question: during the initial BWE's there were these massive pillars with banners waving on them, but they did not display the signs on your cape.
Are these banners still there and do they actually display the colors & other features of your cape now or in retail?
